With heavy hearts we announce the passing of C. J. (Kip) Wilson

Christopher James Christopher James Wilson, C. J. (Kip) Wilson, 72, of Sidney, BC, (Kip as he was known to his friends and family) passed away on the 6th day of August 2022 after a lengthy illness. He was born on the 14th day of July 1950 to Harry and Elizabeth Wilson in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. He studied Law at University of Alberta and was called to the Alberta Bar in 1973 and then the British Columbia Bar on July 10, 1980. Kip married Lucinda Wilson on February 4, 1989, raising their sons Joey and Clinton on the Saanich Peninsula. Kip practised law for 47 years and 33 years of them he practised in Central Saanich, retiring in the fall 2020. Predeceased by his mother Elizabeth and sister Kaye. He leaves to mourn his wife Lucinda, sons Joey (Ngari) and Clinton (Breanna), grandchildren, Daniel, Sophia and Smith, father Harry, sister Debbie (Larry), brother Scott (Rose), brother-in-law Glenn Lovett, brother-in-law Larry Russell (Diana), brother-in-law Shane Russell (Marlies), sister-in-law Sherry Filipovic, Uncle Bill (Bev) and numerous nephews and nieces. Kip was active in the community as a member of the United Peninsula Masonic Lodge 24 and the Central Saanich Lions service clubs. He was committed to bettering his community which allowed him to be known as a Good Freemason. Kip enjoyed pursuits of golfing and sailing. His love of travel afforded him the pleasure of visiting many tropical, historic and diverse destinations. There will be a celebration of Life in his honour held at the Mary Winspear Centre at 2243 Beacon Avenue, Sidney, BC on Friday the 26th of August at 1 pm. We invite you to make a donation to the Myasthenia Gravis Association of BC in lieu of flowers.
